Slasher fans, rejoice! For just a couple of weeks ago I discovered an utterly awesome independent fan short directed and produced by Trent Duncan, who runs a successful videography studio in Orlando, Florida. "Jason Vs. Leatherface" is EXACTLY what the title says it is: a 9 minute slugfest of bone-crunching action between Crystal Lake's machete-wielding juggernaut Jason Voorhees (Cheyenne Hess) and the Texas chainsaw gladiator Leatherface (Patrick Driggett)! Not only is the cinematrography impressive here (shot deep in the woods in brutal color AND black and white), but very little time-wasting dialogue is needed to get to the meat of the matter! It's literally two horror movie icons exchanging punches, kicks, and weapons from beginning to end!

I purchased the DVD from the vendor room at the annual Spooky Empire's Ultimate Horror Weekend Convention and haven't let go of the film since (the disc's menu possesses a worthy buffet of extras).
